2022 has been a busy year for ECFX. We have had a successful year of growth, welcomed new members to our team, developed partnerships with new clients, and enhanced ECFX Notice with a myriad of new developments. We are proud of the progress we have made, and are looking forward to an even more successful 2023! Happy New Year!
1. In 2022, the ECFX team nearly doubled in size
Throughout the course of the year, the ECFX team onboarded 9 new team members... bringing our current total to 20!

3. ECFX made a splash at The Legal Tech Fund Summit
In July 2022, ECFX
received an investment from
The Legal Tech Fund (TLTF), bringing the total funding amount for the company to over $3.5M since its inception in 2019.
In early December, ECFX was selected to speak at The Legal Tech Fund Summit in Miami. Over 150 pre-seed and seed-stage startups competed for one of 31 spots to attend the conference. Attendees each had an opportunity to present eight-minute pitches to panels of judges, and four companies were selected to present on the main stage on the summit’s final day.
The four that made that final cut were ECFX, Fairmint, Kaveat, and Rally.
4. We more than doubled the number of clients we serve
Throughout 2022, firms across the country continued to adopt ECFX Notice as their solution to automate the processing of electronic court filing (ECF) notices, including the largest firms in then United States both in terms of number of litigators and revenue. Our product serves firms of all sizes and litigation specialities, from AMLAW 100, NLJ 500, midsize and small law firms.
5. We had 3 clients who surpassed 100,000 documents downloaded through ECFX
6. We nearly doubled the number of supported electronic court filing (ECF) providers.
ECFX added coverage for 37 new providers, bringing the total up to 79 by the end of the year, including Federal and State courts, the International Trade Commission (ITC), the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB), and arbitration.
7. In total, ECFX saved law firms a total of 123,520 hours of manual labor
In 2022 alone, ECFX saved 123,520 hours of labor associated with manually downloading, profiling, storing, and distributing ECF notices. This is equivalent to 15,440 eight-hour days this year!
8. ECFX made an impression at trade shows across the country
ECFX attended a total of nine trade shows in 2022, including Legalweek, Mass Torts Made Perfect (MTMP) Spring Conference, Litify Insurance Defense, Association of Legal Administrators (ALA) Annual Conference, National Association of Legal Assistants (NALA) Conference & Expo, ILTACON, Litiquest, National Docketing Association (NDA) Annual Conference, & the International Practice Management Association (IPMA) Conference. We also hosted 3 ECFX events for partners and clients during Legalweek, ILTACON & NDA.
... We also had the hottest swag and gave away a total of 640 magic wands, bringing the magic of ECFX to firms across the country!
9. New features and enhancements cemented ECFX Notice's position as the most advanced ECF notice processing software platform on the market
We made thousands of changes and improvements to the software. Here are some of the highlights:
Case Not Found Reporting
ECFX Notice produces daily reports that identify new notices for cases that a missing from the firm’s case management system. This has become a critical risk management tool in our client’s arsenal to protect them from potential malpractice and missed information critical to conflicts of interest checks.
Improved Inbox Management
The ECFX inbox was greatly enhanced to allow users to see the categories of inbox items relevant to them and then act on those items en masse without selecting each item individually. Searching the inbox was also enhanced and makes it easy to clean up issue where data was missing from the case management system.
Brand New Dashboard
In 2022 the ECFX notice Dashboard was redone to make it easier for users to customize and move information around so the most relevant information is always in front of them.
Auto Case Creation
ECFX Notice has added the ability to automate case creation by reading PACER notices and identifying who at the firm is on the notice and putting them on the case team. The firm is also able to identify other people, like docketing staff, that can be added automatically to the team.
